Who it's for
Teams planning a new product, and teams already running one that is slow, fragile, or hard to change.
The problem we solve
Decisions made early are the most expensive to undo. Weak foundations show up later as outages, slow changes, rising costs, and rewrites. We make those decisions deliberately and document them, so your product can grow without starting over.
What's included
- Technical direction and review of your current system.
- System design: components, boundaries, and how they communicate.
- API contracts, so different teams can work in parallel without surprises.
- Data models designed for how your data will be used and how it will grow.
- Infrastructure and deployment design, on the cloud and with containers or Kubernetes where it fits.
- Reliability and security planning: availability targets, failure handling, and backups.
- A delivery plan: phases, risks, and a roadmap.
- Written decision records, so the reasoning behind each choice is documented.
What you get
- A reliable architecture that improves availability and is built to last.
- Documented design and decisions your team can follow.
- A plan your team can execute, with phases and risks laid out.
- Fewer surprises as the product grows.
Examples of what this can look like
- An application that slows down or goes offline as users grow: we review it, find the bottlenecks, and propose a staged redesign.
- A company planning a first version that wants to avoid a rewrite in a year: we design a modular foundation that can start simple and scale.
- Several systems with inconsistent data: we define shared API contracts and a common data model so they work together.
How we work
- Free initial assessment. We review what you have or what you plan, and identify the main risks.
- Plan. We define the scope of the work, the deliverables, the timeline, and the price together.
- Design. We deliver the design, contracts, models, and plan, with reviews along the way.
- Handover or build. Your team executes the plan, or we build it with you through Product Engineering.
Technologies
We choose technology for the problem. Our common tools include Next.js, TypeScript, Python, Java, and C#, running on AWS or Azure, with Kubernetes when the system calls for it.
Common questions
Do I need this if I'm just starting?
If the product is simple, a lightweight design may be enough. We'll tell you honestly what level you need.
Can you review a system that already exists?
Yes. We can assess it, point out risks, and propose what to keep, improve, or replace.
Will it be over-engineered?
We design for what you need now, with room to grow, not for imaginary scale.
Works well with
Product Engineering, to build on the design. Launch Support, to validate it under real traffic. AI & Automation, to plan intelligent features from the start.
